pieces of me

When we were young my grandma made all her granddaughters dresses and as we got older a lot of those same fabrics found their way into the quilts she made. Looking at the quilts she has made us is like looking at a scrapbook of blouses she use to wear to work, dresses she made us for Easter, or our birthdays!

Nothing feels as soft and cuddly as one of Grandma's quilts. Any store bought quilt has never felt like something I wanted to wrap myself in! I recently said this to her and she said, "Well, Jennifer a piece of you goes into every quilt you make. Whether its the oils from your skin or a prick from a needle!" She laughed and sighed—It was then that I knew it was time for me to learn.

Always cut along the straight when quilting.

Pairing up designs that coordinate to larger squares made up of 4 smaller squares.

When you have all your squares pile repeating squares to keep things neat.

Secure piles before stitching squares.

brand identity

My parents started their bakery in October of 2009 --A Crafty Baker

They make custom cakes, cupcakes, mini cakes, and chocolate boxes.  My mom is the baker and my dad is the decorator--they have a lot of fun working together to make great cakes that look good and taste even better!

This was the inspiration for their logo that I designed for A Crafty Baker.
